Fasttracking Brood of Nozdormu rep

Post by xen »

How does this exactly work? I know, during the war event that waves attack Cenarion Hold. Now people have said that they can get to Neutral just by Grinding the Mobs. If so, Do you have to be in a group to get the rep? I'm unsure. But apparently they give 200 rep each. So is it:

- You get rep off the mob if you tag it, no matter how much damage you do
- you get rep off the mob if you do damage, Even if you wern't the one who tagged it, or in his raid

thanks in advance =]

Reason I'm asking this is because the war is due to start on my server, So should I make a Raid (I'm sure there are gonna be >40 people in Silithus during that time, But 40 people is more chance to tag the mob than 1) Or can I do it solo?
We did it with a full raid of 40. Got all of us to Friendly with Brood of Nozdormu.
Very small ones are 5 each and can propably be killed with a group of 5. Supreme Anubisath are 100 each and regular Lieutenant Generals 150. Supreme Silithid Flayers are 50 each.

Colossal Anubisath are 250 each and Imperial Qiraji Destroyers 375.

Lieutenant-General Nokhor is 500 reputation and a guaranteed epic drop each kill.
Down next to the AQ gate there is 4 colossals, 2 destroyers outside the gate and 4 colossals inside the gate.
The 4 colossals inside can't be pulled out, you have to go through the gate and fight them inside.
The gate guys repop 15mins after you kill them.
We killed them (or as many as we could tag) them moved to a nearby supreme crystal and cleared it then went back to the gate for the repop.
Every so often 'Lieutenant-General Nokhor' would be at the crystal and (as the above poster said) he drops a BoE epic.
Our raid got 2x Lady Maye's pendant and Teebu's blazing longsword during the event.
Things to watch for are;
The destroyer’s large range AoE fear getting your raid into too many adds (probably best to fight them one at a time).
Nokhor has a pretty big Mortal strike so make sure the tank is well healed up.
Colossals are easy, just have quite a lot of HP. A tank and 1-2 healers can keep one tanked (and tagged for your raid) while your raid kill the other colossal one by one.
Start of the event was really laggy for us... so take it easy and later on (when more people log off) it gets easier.
I suggest we plan a raid for wednesday (or thursday, dunno exactly when it'l start).

My take is that the server will crash several times.
And of course there's this concept of Alliance that's got beef :)

AFAIK the event lasts for ten hours, so we should jump in a couple of hours after it has started. Lowbies will have lost interest by then.
