Macbook pro, it boots in less than 6 secs and closes in 3 secs, + it rocks and it has its own dual boot with any other OS you want and timemachine (MacOS backup) backs up any secondary OS also. Battery has 7 hours autonomy with wifi and bluetooth up and it weights less than 3kg (2.9 the 17 inch less the smaller ones). It is good from any point of view, just a bit more expensive than it should but in any case it is up to the person if he is willing to pay.

No way an MSI GX runs the same as macbook pro, maybe it is in par with the simple macbook. About Asus laptops, only series G70 and up are "marginally" better than macbook pro and they are very close to the mac price, but still windows work faster on mac w/e anyone saysSchneel wrote:I would go with an MSI GX gives the same performance as an macbook pro but without useless crap and at half the price. Or an Asus with even better performance then the macbook and still alot cheaper.
U can be haters, I am not fond of the apple prices and policy at all, but talk no trash about teh machines they make, they are far better than the solutions that companies like HP, Dell and whoever else is pushing around PCs.

A quick addition, we talk about performance only, I just wanna add the basic reasons I prefer a macbook over a laptop --> 7 hours FULLY working machine on battery!!!!!!!!!!! No one else out there offers that number, and 10 look at it again ----> 10 - 10 <---- hours autonomy with wifi and blue tooth off :DDDD Plus less that 3 kg the 17 inch, no other 17 inch laptop with such good specs is so light, the lightest I've seen is 3.8 kg and Asus gaming series is 4kg the least most of the good ones are at 4.6 or more.....
