Would be simple to just let you choose your current faction and then pick a new race since you'll have to change race when changing faction anyways.

No, it's been stated by Blizzard that they don't want to let you decide on which race to pick (though it's easy for Druids and some Shamans/Pallies).

I for one hope for a race change aswell! (Assuming double faction change doesn't work, because it makes no sense)...

I think everyone who changes from horde to alliance should be killed irl. Treason is serious buisness! Though if Fenz wanna be a gnome it's ok cause that would be imba cute! : D

No race change according to Nethaera (not even if you switch to alliance and then back to horde).
