Big plus for the restokin is that he can CC even under pressure with no pushback on neither cyclone nor roots and huge armor to boot.

Ofc you have to have quite good gear in this build. In 2v2 you really dont need swiftmend, not that often anyway. The other talents you sacrifice in resto is well covered in the balancetree, healing and more manaregen. The thing is you dont play to burst or cc the healer to win, you just outlast them.
Atleast with a hunter or lock ^^

Apparently that combo Bira's talking about is pretty good since they rely on control and burst.

Of course, it's just Ming talking about it. Quite a lot of folks don't take him seriously at all but in general I like his column (and the cowriters).

I didn't say restokin was good vs everything Bira, extreme burst teams could very well be a big problem. I'm just saying that's it's nowhere near as horrible as it looks at first glance and it's gaining in popularity, especially in the larger brackets. :p

Sometimes you have to adjust to whats popular for the moment. Right now there is a huge majority of dps+healer in 2v2. To challenge these with the same setup you need to be specialised in some way. Ofc you gonna lose some matches against rogue/mage or rogue/lock but thats the way it is but in the longer run i think you gonna earn from it. Thats my opinion! :)

I tried playing with 23 in balance for Lunar guidance (25% dmg and heal from yor total int.) It was good but I was stuck @ 1700 rating. When i respecced for
FC I reached 2k. I agree it could be a usefull specc for 5v5, but for smaller brackets nothing beats FC because it not only gives you better survivability but also better controll over enemy casters.

Nice video imo.
Never liked the Horde catform having this idiotic horns whereas the nelf catform has much more laid back pronounced ears.
Love the enhanced color on them both as well.

But is there really a difference between the Horde and Alliance Boomkin and Tree form?

Not much on boomkin, style of feathers and horns. Don't think there is any on ToL.

The only form where the horde look is clearly superior is the flightform. :)

Naw, it's just a alternative model for catform. When you use it it's easier to gauge your origin of attack and rotate around it, instead of having two different points as catform has. For pvp basically.
