Personal Rating is reset to 1500 every time you leave your arena team.
Supposedly you have a Personal Rating for every bracket (2vs2, 3vs3, 5vs5) out there.
This personal rating will then rise and lower depending on the quality team you fought - kind of like your Team's rating.

This personal rating is used to decide whether or not you can buy Season 3 Weapons and Season 3 Set Shoulders.

At least that's the intention, the screenshots show personal rating requirement on weapons and shoulders suggesting that you need a personal rating of minimum x for even using the weapons and/or armor.
Really odd. Also no real easy way to test this on the PTR.

from a blue post ''This is an additional arena rating that is unique to each character for each team they belong to. This rating rises and declines using the same formula as the arena team rating, but only in games that character participates in.''

Wonder if you can boost your mains rating @ start to lets say 1700 then make sure also everybody in your team has an alt in it then lose matches until team rating hits 1500 again and then play with your main repeat this untill the personal rating has hit the 2000

I was thinking... Would a few SM warlocks be interested in making a 3-3 team and seeing what that could do?
I realise that you can only have 1 3-3, so I understand fully if ppl are not up for this.
It just seems like a fun thing to do... let me know your opinions.
