Mjah seems like WoW, instanced pvp etc, world pvp will suck otherwise on unbalanced servers,

Don't think it'll be that much like wow, even with population imbalance. First of wow is a pve game first and foremost, pvp has never been the advertised activity so even if it's a pvp server most of the people aren't very pvpie. With focus on pvp balance and the ability for smaller, better organized groups to beat large numbers (ie like daoc, which i figure will happen) it won't matter as much. But as it is all just speculations I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Not to say that population imbalances aren't an everpresent problem.

And also not to say that there's anything wrong with instanced pvp as long as it feels like the players in the instance contribute to the overall gameworld and affect it. Which they do.
