Other massive things, as mentioned in the Raids&Dungeons panel on BlizzCon was how they see the future of raiding.
- Plans to have another (25-man?) raid instance in six or eight bosses with beyond-tier6 loot in it before Wrath of the Lich King goes live (they seem very serious about this).
- Love to squeeze out another 5-man group instance before the expansion (this is a like to, as in; probably not going to happen).
- Additional Heroic rewards out with the Zul'Aman content patch.
- Planning to add in Fear Warding for the Horde, since they "are tired of dealing with the imbalance of Fear in instances".
- Working on adding integrated Itemrack/Outfitter UI ("We can give you real space to store the extra junk.")
- Working on integrating a true Threat Meter and Deadly Boss Mods equivalent UIs into the game.
- Retuning Holy Priests: Lightwell, Circle of Healing (at or beyond Chain Heal level; which implies insanely good) and Spirit of Redemption.
- Retuning Protection Paladins: More HP.
- Retuning Retribution Paladins: More raid viable, but they're scared of a repeat of paladins in 2.0 preBC.
Integrated Threatmeter is so sorely lacking it's just not even funny.
Integrated Itemrack is very tantalizing and if it's truly "real space to store the extra junk" then you're looking at painless storing of resist sets or different hybrid role sets.

Go Priests!... and ofc CoH should be insanely good... seeing stupid Shamans get a way more powerful grp heal without a talent point, while we spend 41 for a semi-optimal heal (only good at Karathress, Void Reaver..).sneek wrote:Other massive things, as mentioned in the Raids&Dungeons panel on BlizzCon was how they see the future of raiding.

Fear Ward and UI stuff also sound very nice.

Itemrack's been out for eons and now they mention adding similar functionality (probably because it's a highly requested feature for the Armory as well - seperate gear sets).
I'd be amazed if they'd add it in before the WotLK goes live.
Doesn't detract from my statement in that thread though that people have problems with Tainted Cores and other vital in-fight drops that need to be used in a very strictly timed manner.
Hold it right there buddy!Phil wrote:[...] and ofc CoH should be insanely good... seeing stupid Shamans get a way more powerful grp heal without a talent point, while we [lot of QQ]
Shaman have to spend two extremely deep talent points in order to get it to be that powerful - and you aren't even that deep in your healing tree, casual PvPer!

It's amazing how they managed to push that ancient engine so far. Most of the stuff they've showed looks absolutely gorgeous - mostly due to the artwork, but also because of smart use of some (finally) half-decent shader tech. The fire effects they showed etc, the snow on the mountains - looks extremely crisp for an engine that's over 7 years old.Versus wrote:Some expansion zone vids(click watch it now)

The featurelist might be a bit lackluster, but i sure as hell am looking forward to this going live
Roses are red. Violets are blue. In soviet Russia, poem writes you.
how fun wouldnt it be if u actually become the lich king if u get ur hands on the sword, and then u could become imba like an miniboss or sumtin and other players could kill you and loot the sword from you, ofc u should be able to kill other players too in the same faction etc.Versus wrote:
