In all their wisdom Blizzard is starting their crusade against tediousness in the game.
Streamlining consumables to not stack as much, cost less reagents and have less power as a whole the final step to reducing tediousness completely from the raiding game is providing each customer with plastic cash.
This will facilitate gold buying to further reduce any need to run around like a headless chicken in the game.
