The vaporware legacy continues!

" It's Now Fall 2007...
...And I'm pretty sure you all know what I'm referring to by saying "it."
Electronic Arts, Valve's game distributor and helping hands on Half-Life 2's Playstation 3 port, has released a PR spread with the official announcement of the Orange and Black box packages that will be made available at Episode Two's release. But ever so gently, added to the bottom of this sheet was the word "Fall." Yes, that's the new ETA for Episode Two.
Quote:
The Black Box and The Orange Box are targeted for release in Fall 2007. For more information, please visit www.steamgames.com.
I guess this will give you guys time to tan during the Summer, so that when Fall comes, you won't have any reason to go outside in the cold!
EA's entire PR sheet can be found here.
Update: Okay, there are conflicting PR sheets floating around various websites. Voodoo Extreme reports that it's actually been pushed back to Winter 2007, and GamerSquad is reporting both set ETA's... Confused? Yeah, me too.
Update (2): Doug Lombardi was kind enough to clear this up for us. It's fall, as the title says.

Hands on preview from a beta tester
Omg its realy coming out now? They say they have gameplay done and are working on ui stuff mostly now
Most interesting tidbits i picked out is grenades are totally gone to make it less spammy. Scout has some sort of speed increasing doublejump feature.
Medic conc jumping is out but he can now heal from distances and around corner. "But if there’s a heavy around the corner and you’ve got a Medic on you, you can totally take him. " Medic can heal around corners and from a distance. The Medigun fires a Ghostbuster style healing ray at your teammates, helping to keep them alive while they’re getting attacked. The ray can go around 10-15 yards, and will bend if your target moves. However, if your teammate is too far out of your line-of-sight the beam will break. "Brown: What’s a real-world equivalent? Ahhhh, there is none. But it’s still really fun to play.
Walker: The medi-gun for example. The medi-gun is this thing that it turned a couple of our best FPS players into these guys who all they want to do now is play medics. These are guys who are fantastic Counter-Strike players, and so on, and all they want to do is medic-up people. They run around healing the crap out of people and being the guys who win games. They connect up with one other really good FPS player. A top medic with a top Heavy is an incredibly nasty combination. So we have this great weapon that we’re really happy with, but trying to figure out how we can put that into a realistic—there’s no way in heck. "
Freeze/death cam feature for fenz!
Spy has a full stealth 10 second feature with a 1shot knife(meh stealth/1shot ;p)
Only 1 ctf gameplay map remains on release more random area control maps now.
Support for multicore and up to dx10 vidcards but not really needed for fps
"Walker: Yeah, if you’ve got a multicore machine, it helps a lot. As I say, the quadcore systems that we have here, their frame rates are just insane. It’s like 300 FPS at 2500 by 1900 or something like that."

Invulnerability at demand for 10 secs confirmed as medic ability on both himself and target when charging a hurt target long enough.
Trains running people over in Well.
Pc will be able to play against/with xbox users.
Sudden death mode if too long of a stalemate on certain points will only apply on that point not the whole map.
Relase date info
IGN: So everything is still set for release in September?
Doug Lombardi: We're looking at the back-to-school timeframe.
IGN: Back-to-school timeframe?
Doug Lombardi: Right in September. Ish.
IGN: Ish?
Doug Lombardi: We don't have a solid date yet.
IGN: Will it be simultaneous release for all versions?
Doug Lombardi: That's the goal, but, you know, if some are ready, we're gonna go.
