DW shaman vid
"I wanted to follow-up briefly to let people know that the team is looking at the Elemental tree (among other things) for the Shaman and ARE working on it. [...]
I am going to give it to you straight that there are changes coming to the Enhancement tree due to the fact that we've found it to be doing a bit TOO much damage. In fact the power output is a bit on the scary side. [...]" -Nethaera

Oops. Now that implies either Flurry or Weapon Mastery getting hosed, the way I read it
Weapon Mastery nerfage would suck for PvP though.
Now, if we're gonna be straight here.
The power output is quite shit if you're looking at greatcow's vid.
The only vid with serious output that was quite interesting was a shaman fielding the best of the best in the game at L60 - Naxxgear and wearing leather
Pardon me for saying this, but unless a rogue's asleep that rogue with Improved Sinister Strike, spamming it and using the combos to only keep Slice and Dice up, will definately out-perform a shaman with the same critrate and attack power by at least 20%.
That's what my numbers tell me at least.
Would assume here without math that it's similar deal between current beta-Shams and Warriors.
But yeah it's scary to see what they'll do to the tree that's arguably has been the gimped one all the way up to the beginning of the beta.

Interesting reply from a blue on the newest beta push where the new Ubah Pally "Crusad0r Strike" was nerfed to 10 second cooldown from 6 (bringing it in line with Stormstrike) and their Vengeance special ability being nerfed to 10%/10% instead of 15%/15%. Vengeance's a paladin's flurry so to speak:
"We are currently in the process of heavy DPS testing with all classes in a wide variety of combat types, situations, gear, and spec to ensure they fall in-line with what we expect of each class and where we want each class to be on the DPS scale. As we progress with the DPS testing there will be changes made that will help adjust classes to where we want them to be, and you may see improvements or nerfs that seem a bit odd. At the very least we want to express that we're making these adjustments due to involved DPS tests and the changes being made are a direct result of our findings.
The expansion gives us an amazing opportunity to balance all of the classes in one big release, and we're going to be refining each class until release to make sure we're making good use of it." -Drysc

So it's a complete and total class dps output rebalance.
Paladins have been nerfed in dps output (yes, that's what the blue above just said, nerfed paladin dps because it was too high) and enhancement Shaman will be next.
There's also tinkering going on with all the other classes it seems.

seems they changed the tactical mastery talent to 3/3 and lets you regain 5 more rage for each so without talents you keep 10 and can intercept etc they also changed the arms tree for the better its no longer a complete waste infact i think it looks rather nifty now
still a bit uncertain for fury though
but were no longer getting a big fuck you from blizz atleast

Disenchants into: 1 Brilliant Mind
Talent trees for Shaman have been altered.
It's now for instance possible to go for a Unleashed Rage melee support build that has Nature's Swiftness.
Reference talent tree: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/under ... 0010000000
You lose out on Shamanistic Rage; our personal innervate or Shammervate.
Unleashed Rage and Dual Wield Specialization swapped places in the tree.
Parry, no sorry-Spirit Weapons, now provides a passive benefit of 15% aggro reduction on melee attacks!
Has the wierd sideeffect of making Enhancement talented Shaman worse at offtanking trash
Dual Wield Specialization now is not just 3 a three pointer talent that'll increase your to-hit chance by at maximum 6% with a full investment.
That's a 4% nerf! Omg!
Well if that's the extent of the damage... hahaha
Ohyeah, Shaman's Elemental tree now has a modified Elemental Precision which adds 1% to hit with spells and a 3% aggro reduction on damage spells per talent point invested up to a maximum of 3% to hit and 10% aggro reduction.
Come on... you invent Unleashed Rage and fail to produce a similar thing for elemental that required the Shaman to use his specialization in order to buff their group?
At least the Totem of Wrath now provides the usual 3% to crit with spells as well as 3% to hit with spells to the entire group.
I guess it could be nice then. A tiny bit more then Moonkin.

Dun-dedun!
"Keep in mind two things.
1. We are still making changes. This isn't the extent of those changes.
2. If you choose to make comments about these changes, please do so in a way that gives reasons for like/dislike and any suggestions you might have. Posting anything else is counterproductive to giving feedback we can use." -Nethaera

Well in the earlier betas Shaman could get +10% to hit from the specialization and +3% to hit more from the resto tree.
With a baseline missrate of 24% you'd need only 11% tohit on your gear.
That's easily achievable if you ninja some proper crossclass rogue/druid items or have picked up some more coveted trinkets out there.
With 0% to miss on dual wielding all of your white damage attacks all connect (unless dodged) and all of them can proc windfury (which is now yellow damage and cannot be a glancing hit).
The end result of that scared Blizzard.
Though just requiring 4% more to hit off gear and itemization is a drop in the bucket from what I read about enhancement Shaman.
Still it's nowhere near to what a Rogue can do. And I sincerely doubt it's anywhere near what a properly geared and played warrior can do as I see Shaatii and Zilver be at least on par with top rogues whenever they're not required to play their tanking role.
