More bags. Bigger bags. Profession bags!!

Post by Lateralus »

The limitations of bag space are intended and make it a necessity to choose what you want to keep. This may be the inane ramblings of a depraved mind, but I find it fun managing bag space. I treat it as a sort of mini-game, arranging items by category, making tough decisions on what to do with specific items. That is my personal outlook; I don't know if anyone else feels the same way.

That said…

With the 1.10 patch two new craftable bag types will be available specifically for holding items related to either herbalism or enchanting. Tailors will be able to try their hand at crafting these new bags as the recipes will be found throughout the world. These new specialty bags will function similar to how a normal bag would, but with the restriction of holding only herbs or enchanting supplies. The recipes will be made available for crafting these bags in various sizes, the high end of each type being 24 slots.

<3 on the bags

Typical response from Warlocks, imo, that "what a moron" :P
Guess the hatred of soul shards hasn't gone away yet!
Oh woe the day the recipe to that epic bag drops, then we'll have a catfight on the core leather ;)

They explained what they want.
They don't like a Ultima Online / DaoC type deal where you could have a House with 10 chests in them.
Every chest could hold 100 items. Was even more fun in the old days when you'd get the key to your house stolen in Britain, being stalked by the thief through the runic portal to your house, only to find your key taken to return to the bank to get the spare one and... voila! Empty house!

Would LOVE to see a 24 bag voor herbs.
Finally, some breathing space.

Well dont get me wrong here .. i have 2 full alts with enchantstuff and my bank is fucked up. But they add so many types of bags so i think it would be a better thing to enlarge all bags instead.. i actually do like the shardbag tbh but sometime it has to end :)

Yeah I hear you Late.
Still, would never ever pay the price for a Bottomless Bag. That's just insane.

Let's hope the 24 herb bag isn't as retarded as the core soul shard pouch thingy bag.
Though, with Blizzard's track record I'd guess the 24-herb one will require Dreamscales or something equally nuts.

The whole point of my comment was to show that instead of actually admitting that the whole inventory system is screwed up - everyone I know has at least one bank alt -, he makes some moronic statement about how it's fun to ping/pong items between characters, especially given the current mailbox lag situation. Oh, but wait, "we are aware of lag issues on some realms".

Give me a break.

Edit: And I do hope they will also add equipment bags, with the FR/NR/Normal/PVP item sets that are required, and lets not forget the upcoming SR/AR sets we will also undoubtebly be forced to collect. But hey, at least it's fun.

You're both talking about different items Xen.

He's talking about soulbound crap, you're referring to non-soulbound consumable crud and how pingponging that is considered unfun.
Totally agree with that, though it's become part of the routine to pingpong bijous and coins for the past month or two.

Well, I was mainly concerned with all the resistance item sets that are required (warriors are the worst of here), they do take up a lot of space.

Yeah I hear you Xen.
Had the pleasure of playing Zilver's character, if only to stumble into BRD the best i could with two wow's active.

Not much breathing space left to do what you want as a warrior.
Dunno if Shadow or Nature resists are going to be big in AQ, if you have some juicy links on bosses and strat in there please link em in a thread.

But on bank alts, every single bleeding game I've played had bank alts.
Hell even had a bank alt in UO - that's the game that had room for 200 more items in a bank then WoW will ever have. Not including houses.

Players are very capable of stuffing up their bank with all sorts of crap they find, given the room.
