Ok. Dubbed about this a long time - better put it in writing.

Shaman get hosed with their relics.

Here's the Idol of Rejuvenation (druid).

Here's the Totem of Life (shaman).

Drops in AQ40, off Frankriss the Unyielding.

The ilevel 62 blue versus the ilevel 78 purple. Rare versus "Epic".
So a druid with their blue idol gets +50 to their Rejuvenation while the shaman gets only 43% of 45, which is +19, to their Lesser Healing Wave.
Full duration heal over time vs a 1.5 second casttime heal.

is it just me or isn't it wierd to put "up to x on spell" if its not the full x? i mean its just one single spell? we should get 100% of what it says otherwise it wont increas that spell with "up to"

my point is its a specific spell not general +spell dmg or +magic school

it just feels wierd.

It's blizzards default mechanism for calculating spell / healing increasements. I somehow think it's easier for them just to stick with what they have :p

yeah true but they could hav put as an added note "(the spell will only gain up to x because of mechanics)" or something.

hmm looks like all three relics of all three classes are found.

lvl 52 req:

druid: from Lord Roccor
shaman: from Magmus
paladin: from Magmus

lvl 57 req:

druid: from Mor greyhoof
shaman: hmm cant find where. seems from DM
paladin: cant find the mob for this either

seems the lvl 57 req relics drop from questmobs form the 0.5 tier set items chain

lvl 60 req:

druid: from Vicidicus
shaman: from Fankriss the Unyielding
paladin: from Fankriss the Unyielding

is the paladins really any good at all? +55 ac on aura, -20 mana on seals, -25 on mana cleanse.

the -25 mana on cleanse is actually really good as that dispells almost anything and PvE raiding is a lot of dispelling nowadays so thats quite handy although some doesnt like that it takes the place of other loot at fankriss that they want more, imo they dont value easy cheap dispelling enough the spoiled brats
