SHAMAN HEAVEN
Shaman class is designed just perfectly, including Windfury Weapon the mathematical concept behind it.
Unfortunately the people in charge of implementing the theory are complete numbskulls and as such could not get things to work properly when a main and a offhand got a Windfury Weapon imbuement on them.
The results were basically getting Windfury procced off both the main and the offhand at the same time when only one of them should get a Windfury proc.
They "fixed" this problem, which is commonly known and taught to be a "race condition" in the Freshman (first) year of College, by applying a Cooldown to the Windfury Attack effect of 3 seconds.
This cooldown makes it really really bad to use fast weapons, simply because a Windfury Attack off a fast weapon hits for a tiny amount yet is still limited by the same 3 second cooldown.
A fast offhand can reduce an Enhancement Shaman damage output by at least 5% if not more.
I've emperically tested this a ways back by doing 5-mans with other Enhancement Shaman.

Currently a mainhand with 2.60 speed and a offhand with 2.80 speed is best.

Tag, you're it.
Lightning Lash.
Requires 30 points in Enhancement Talents.
346 Mana. 5-15 yard range.
Instant cast. 10 second cooldown.
Hurls a lightning lash at the enemy, dealing 385 to 465 Nature damage, immobilizing it for 1 sec and pulling you to the enemy.

Well now that I've had a night of sleep over this, there are a few other weird parts about it that mobile phone camera shot of the talent.
Notice how the talent pane's all scrolled to the bottom.
This implies that the screenshot was taken without L80 talents in the game.
At least I assume that simply because Burning Crusade got us two more tiers of talents deeper in each tree, so I assume WotLK'll get that as well.
These two extra tiers are absent from the photo.

The tooltip of the talent above it looks like Weapon Mastery. And if you look at the tree, Lightning Lash is at the same hight as stormstrike.
The 3th icon in the screen is also a new talent more or less on the same tier as Unleashed Rage?
Lightning Lash sounds fun, sort of like Shadowstep. But with it mages wont stand a change against a shaman anymore.

the shaman forums are full about whines with most of them crying about not have any cc. this still isn't any cc but i think it will be a nice boost for enhancement shammies..the moment they reach the opponent..they pretty much die (unless your cc'ed ofcourse, which happens a lot).sneek wrote:It's pretty powerful yes - but a proper Blink is more then 15 yards.
This is just at 15 yard intercept, not a Charge/Intercept/Blink/Shadowstep.
Afaik those are all 20 or even 25 yards.
pretty early stage but a nice glimpse of things to come
decent shaman pvp
