ppl always say ff3 or 5 > 7 ... Ive played both and altho I'll admit I havent completed em yet, they bore me way faster than ff7 did ... :\

Ive played all the mario karts tyvm! I was fucking king in that first ghosthouse on snes

baldurs gate I played for 1 hour ... roam roam roam roam oh look 1 mob to kill roam roam roam .. fuck that.

FF3 was probably the only Final Fantasy that had a somewhat deep and interesting storyline, compared to 'bad guy tries to destroy the planet, go kill bad guy' crap that we've been getting since FF7.

That and the fact it's mechanics were slightly more interesting than FF7's materia system (which was quite good if i may add :p)

While I agree that #6 was probably one of the better ones in term of dramatic structure it doesn't really hold a candle to #12, it's way to simplistic and shallow in it's writing to be really good by todays standards imo (though it's my favorite one behind #12 :> so I'm not completely objective).

In other gaming related news, after the "thrashing" windows vista got from Doug Lombardi here's a followup article about the intent of Microsoft "games for windows", Clicky , for those of you interested.

Then again, gamesindustry's always been a pretty ho-hum site. They never sank as deep as comparing a PC game to a Console game though ...
