yeah seems good, as a sidenote. if u dont want extra reach on the destro spells its safe to put em elsewhere since there isnt much hit needed for 10-mans.

It may be that for specs like BM (and Demonology) that the pet just too high a percent of overall damage. When the pet does well, you do very well, but when the pet suffers, you suffer too much as well, so that your success hinges a lot more on encounter design. If we nerfed the pet damage, we would buff the character's of course.

Another idea some players have advocated lately is to prevent the pet from getting buffed at all, but let it scale better from buffs on the player. This removes some of the inconsistencies where the pet can't benefit from buffs properly. We don't currently have the technology to do that, but it is something we are exploring.
Not sure what to make of this. Demonology should just get different pets for different encounters imo. Unless they want them there as window dressing but wich way would the tree go then? They want it to be competitive damage.

Blizzard's having trouble handling pets, period.
A similar quote was given to Hunters.

The foundation of their game is hinged on typical additive attributes (attackpower, spellpower) or even multiplicative crap (crit, hit).
It makes it, engine wise, really hard to fork off damage from your character and put it into a pet.
Especially dynamically which is a huge problem for Warlocks.

So warlocks are designed to deal 1000 dps, then it is doable (with significant error) to design this into a 600 dps demonology warlock and a 400 dps demonology pet.
But once your pet drops, you still have 600 dps and you're screwed.

Also it doesn't allow them to suddenly boost your warlock to a 950 dps demonology warlock and let you have a 50 dps demonology pet out for effect and minor dps.

God help WoW if they give warlocks the Hunter treatment.
Don't get me wrong but more then just one person on the game systems team is either playing a Hunter or shagging a woman who plays one.

I know it is hard to balance, instead of DPS maybe they should give the pets more utility then like a chance to slow the attack/cast speed of a mob but then those pets/spec becomes somewhat mandatory and that's not what they (and i) want 8) Alltho a demo lock gives the raid a nice boost if there is no Ele shaman.

Hunter pets kick ass at the moment and BM is getting a nerf.

they should just do so all pets have some rolls on encounters, for instance on heigan felguard isnt the best since he gets hit from the green shit that comes out of the floor, i found myself using imp there a few times, if they upped imp dmg to equal to felguard it would be sweet. as demo spec offc

the biggest issue atm tho is surv on pets in pvp IMO, but blizzard just admitted it as a bug and its getting fixed in next patch (this wed i hope ;) )

they could start by making the pet immune or partially immune to all dmg when entering an instance...
last night at sartharion, was just lol, he was basically immune to the void zones, think he got hit by em for 1k max, however that isnt the problem, it was easily avoided with some noobish micro management.
aslo the waves are easyily avoided too, think i left him once in it and he took almost no dmg from it.
but when the 2nd dragon came, he killed himself within 5 secs :/ by the shadowdamage.
threw up an infernal too after the 2nd dragon was down but he didnt live much longer :(
didnt have the time to check what he died from(was the first kill with 2 dragons omg) but he was dpsing alongside the melee.

Nerfed!

http://blue.mmo-champion.com/1/14318781 ... patch.html

Minor Bugs in Next Patch
When the next minor content patch is released players may notice two separate issues. The warlock spell Ritual of Summoning can only be used once every two minutes. Additionally, there are some human female animation errors, specifically when using two-handed weapons or shooting with a ranged weapon. Both of these issues are actively being addressed and we hope to have a fix available shortly after the patch releases.

It's a bit mean to rag on Ghostcrawler.
I mean he gets to be responsible for the shitstorm that previous management (Tom "Kalgan"/"Evocare" Chilton) created.
