WARLOCKS
fixed

Corruption: 2130 (Live) - 1929 (PTR)
Curse of Agony: 2624 (Live) - 2297 (PTR)
Siphon Life: 1221 (Live) - 700 (PTR)
Curse of Doom: 6540 (Live) - 4870 (PTR)
The same thing has been reported on BETA.
All the changes to DOTs scaling with damage (offical blue post) are gone. DOTs do LESS damage than before the buff (96%). The formula is DOT time/15 * 100 for damage bonus. (was...it seems to be DOT time/30 now.)
I don't really care about the PVP aspects, but if this change goes live we wont be at all competetive in damage with hunters, rogues or mages in raids. First they gimped Felguard and made that specc bad for raiding and now this...Destro never was a raiding build anyway.
My theory is that Blizzard thinks DOTs are too powerful in PVP now and want to scale back. So they do a meganerf on Beta to scare us and then "change their minds" and do a lesser nerf, which will make us feel grateful.
If a nerf like this to my favourite specc goes through I'll most likely play my rogue in TBC.
Have a nice day!
Dot adjustment confirmed:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 1&pageNo=1I just wanted to take some time to drop in and reassure people that the change to the dots is intentional as a part of ongoing balancing that we have been doing. It is not a bug.
Just so that everyone knows a bit more the approximate damage reduction is 10% for "Curse of Agony" and "Corruption" for the average Warlock.
*Edit- Changed "and" to "to". Also edited out Affliction to read correctly as "Corruption".
I ain't leaving without your soul and I am sober this time.
oh damn alot of angry locks. was affliction really that imba?Fenz wrote:Dot adjustment confirmed:

this is still my leveling build tho.. not because its imba.. because its uber .)
Yes it was that good, my corruption ticked for 377 standard wo nuketrinkets or buffs.
I didnt meet anyone that survived 4 of my dots while i ran away from them, i almost killed Morlog in dpsgear with only siphon life + life drain to give him more time to hit me while he tested his dps, the few BGs i did i had more than twice the damage done of no2 (know this is possible with many classes/gear/builds) but anyhoo.
It was that good.
I could farm endless green/yellow mobs wo resting, i could draintank elites wo breaking a sweat.
The powers of the dots was that good.
Still, i hate to see warlocks getting nerfed PvE cus they are to good in PvP...

"go all out, i wont lose aggro"
i was really looking forward in testing affliction when BC came out, sad
its sad that blizzard listen to the players a bit too much when it comes too balancing the game/classes because the lock is generally a more "hard" class to play/get to lvl 60 and alot more strategies in how to play against different classes.
so there is a natural outcome that behind the lock sits a better player then the average "legolas wannabe".
im absolutely not saying that there isnt a sucky lock player, just aint so many as some, more popular classes.
so therefore the hard nerf on the locks by the oh so common omg nerf lock bla bla bla outcries.
but hey, maybe all this will work out after a few months of bc playing...
