Outdoor PvP objectives are in Silithus and in the Eastern Plaguelands according to the article on WoW's 1.12 Outdoor PvP.
Silithus boils down to resource gathering and geyser claiming (nothing mentioned about Zerglings or Protoss though).
Eastern Plaguelands boils down to Turf warfare.
There, in the Eastern Plaguelands, are four towers currently.
In the 1.12 patch these will become semi-strongholds that can be controlled by either faction and need to be conquered for them to be turned to your own faction.
Holding your outdoor PvP objective as a faction will grant you a buff that aids you in that zone; for the EPL this is rumored to be additional damage against undead.

Well, I am used to being the underdog (Think we were outnumbered 3-1 on our DAoC server). Dont think they will. Was reading some old forum from the time when Tarren Mill was camped by the allys. And blizzard just ignore the problem that on some servers all npc´s (guards, flymaster, q givers, vendors) where dead from 16.00 to 19.00.
