1.9 Paladin damage output

Post by sneek »

This is an imageshack picture, so peek at it as fast as you can.

1.9 paladin judgement and soc damage output

Now, it's not exactly "average" since this paladin has the Zandalar Hero trinket and the Untamed Blade (which apparently has been buffed in 1.9, procrate wise).

Hammer of Wrath crits around 1900 (~1250 normal).
Seal of Command crits around 1000 (~700 normal).
Judgement of Command crits around 1250 (~850 normal).

Reading comments from pallies saying that Earthshaker (3s stun proc, pretty often) becomes interesting again.

Judgement of Command hits unstunned players for 50% of the spell's damage and hits stunned players for 100% of the damage.
This also applies to gouged, sapped or otherwise disoriented players, for now.

Shamans in plate :P

In 1.8, fighting pallies was a no brainer.
If they like their seals, rip them off regardless what they might be - rank 1 or rank max.

In 1.9? It's tricky. Rechecked and well... It's barely a profit purging off a Paladin's max-rank SoC. Though when that Pally's going to autoattack only , he can SoC rank 1 for 65 mana and trick a shammie into purging that one.
The passive benefits a pally gets from a rank 1 SoC seal are the same as a max-rank SoC seal.

Additional problem that Purge (as Dispel) has two ranks.
Rank 1 removes 1 effect, rank 2 removes 2 effects.
Both ranks, in 1.9, cost 10% base mana (152 mana for me). For the lose.

Now if rank 1 cost 5% and rank 2 cost 10% that would make sense and allow for actual tactical play.

Guess that'll have to wait till patch 1.15 :?
