This is with the "only 50% damage dealt by offhands" factored in.
Missrate is easy enough to figure out; it's a 0.86 modifier to DPS if you've taken 5/5 Dual Wield Specialization.
You can factor in Critical Rate by using a 1.20 modifier (20% to crit).
Flurry boils down to maybe a 1.15 modifier to DPS since it's a 30% haste that is up half the time.
Weapon Mastery boils down to another 1.1 modifier to DPS since it's +10% to weapon damage dealt.
Buffs are situational and to be ignored.

Glancing hits are something which happens with higherlevel mobs and when you are hitting those your missrate goes up as well, complicating calculations.

With the above factored in and looking at identical dual bufffing your two weapons...
RB/RB: 293 x 0.86 x 1.2 x 1.15 x 1.1 = 383 dps
WF/WF: 230 x 0.86 x 1.2 x 1.15 x 1.1 = 300 dps

If you spec properly into PvE you can add another +3% to hit from restoration talents as well as around +4% to hit from gear, adding another whopping +7% to hit total, changing the miss factor from 0.86 to 0.97.
RB/RB: 293 x 0.97 x 1.2 x 1.15 x 1.1 = 431 dps
WF/WF: 230 x 0.97 x 1.2 x 1.15 x 1.1 = 338 dps

So again, that would be my theorycraft on dual weapon buffs with Hakkar drops and various juicy loots from MC/BWL/AQR/ZG doing nothing but autoattack.
Of course it's not the gear you'll want to wear in PvE unless you're filling a very specific niche role AND have a Paladin present to keep Judgement of Wisdom up on your (main) target.

Using rockbiter is not a smart thing to do in PvE, let alone two rockbiters.

What I can expect is that Blizzard will rework the mechanics behind Windfury and Sword Specialization to proc the extra attacks with the correct main or offhand as well as change Rockbiter mechanics to apply attack power to the proper hand instead of both (which is the big problem here).
That, or radically change the weapon buff mechanics to not apply a temporary weapon enchantment but a generic (untyped and undispellable) buff on the character that ensures only mainhands are affected.

i'v just realized i'v taken for granted that water shield means no lightning shield when its up. but i cant find anything that says that only one shield may be up at a time. does this mean we get mana back AND deal nature dmg when attacked?

(on a more rp note: what happens when the 2 balls of lightning and water crash together? is mixing shields such a good idea? ^^)

do we know what happens if you mix FT/WF? will the FT procc on the extra hits from WF? Im more excited about combos then dualwielding 2 weapons with the same buff tbh. RB/WF looking the most interesting atm.

(btw i KNEW something fun was going to comeout of the weapon buffs ^^)

Sneek, what would the dps look like if you used flame tongue weapon on the MH and windfury on OH?
(with the same weapons you used for your first calculations)

just curious since the extra 2 hits from wf will make the MH get 2 extra hits with flame tongue on it :)

I've found flame tongue weapon rank 7 on curse, dunno if it will be highest rank- http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/spel ... eapon.html

Last I read it was still very buggy.
If you dual buffed your onehanders with flametongue you got two flametongue attack procs per hand; so four in total.

In other news, rockbiter has been revised in functionality in the latest Alpha build to add flat physical damage per weapon hit instead of buffing attack power.
This results in less extravagant figures and the above insane rockbiter dps will be gone as a result.

It also insinuates that dual-buffing is expected by Blizzard.

It might also mean that they'll rework WF (and Sword Specialization probably) to proc properly and not just always trigger a mainhand attack.
Though I'm sure they can "forget" doing that just like they forget about a lot of other things :)

I'll see what I can do about the flametongue dps calcs; it's not that spectacular though; FT is usually a tiny bit below rockbiter in dps.

Rigged ;)

From the math I did on dual wielding and WF procs it doesn't look too imbalanced actually.
A big twohander's still the best way to deliver the huge blow.

Unfortunately... WoW seems to move to a more prolonged fighting situation in which there'll be less one/two/three shotting.
That and things like RESILIENCE being added in (of which we still don't know the function accurately, only from conjecture) make it hard to forsee the future of the "omfg nerf triple WF proc" Shaman.

I prefer Unbreakable though, for a Shaman WF vid.
Typical cheesy WF stuff with the typical PvP music and tongue-in-cheek class humor!

Unsettling but unconfirmed rumors on Windfury mechanics getting changed as well.

Why, god WHY?!

yeah I saw that too.

new WF
20% chance of dealing additional damage equal to two extra attacks with xxx extra melee attack power.

old WF
20% chance of granting you 2 extra attacks with xxx extra melee attack power.

so baisicly if WF proccs the additional dmg cant miss.. (screw you rogues) if you get a crit will the additional dmg also critt so the burst dmg is maximized? (equal to all three hits critting before) or will they extra dmg allways stay the same?

An interesting move for sure, since dual wielding with windfury on both weapons would be an insane boost to attacks and Judgement of Wisdom procs.

Heard the windfury proc damage is still just "White Damage" and therefor subjected to glancing blows and increased missrate from dual wielding.

Good news is that with a 20% critical rate you'll have a 20% chance to get a "triple WF crit" instead of today's 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 = 0.0008 => ~1% chance?
Good news is that the WF burst damage remains the same (if not improves even more due to the above chance to get a triplecrit).
Mol! Anyone with proper understanding of statistical math! Please confirm ;)
