Its not a buff on the mob anymore, but a 10% buff to shadowdmg on you, and you alone. Read the talent, it doesnt work like it used to :<
yeah i know. saw that also :(
thought first it was some change they did when u were fighting the dummies, but oh no :(

xen wrote:Quite some people use imp for DPS I think, 0/20/51 is a popular spec.

Anyway, with regard to the affliction rotation:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 6660&sid=1

Basically:
- start rotation with: Shadowbolt > Haunt > UA > Immolate > CoA > Corruption > Siphon Life
- refresh a DoT the very moment the last tick expires
- fill rest of the time with Shadowbolt
Just read it all now, very nice inputs (most i allready knew but still! :D)

Im gonna try affli soon i think, prolly when dual spec comes but maybe even tonight.

Thing that stresses me with affli is how uneffective it is on trash/ heroics but i might have to live with that and just reset recount on bosses after instances

That with "Molten Core" up together with rain of fire does almost no dmg at all.... ;)

A true nightmare of tanks, and healers, and other dpsers ;D

I saw some WWS reports from patchwerk and all 3 builds were pretty close together in DPS. Nice balancing job but I am sure one will be king. I will stay demo unless the difference is more then 5% or something. But even then I buff the raid if there is no pewpew shaman (with him in the raid your spelldamage needs to be 3k+ to buff better).

Unfortunately I don't have any new news and I hesitated to post after the posts above that didn't want to see a claim that we're looking into something. (Sorry, man, that's what we do.)

Our goal hasn't changed and the bullets you posted at the top of the thread are still generally valid. We talked about locks just this morning, but I don't have any upcoming announcements yet. I'm sorry I can't always grace every thread with promises of buffs and new abilities, but we try to be careful with the changes we make. The fact that we still manage to break things sometimes suggest that we might not even be careful enough. Fear not, locks. We hear you.
