Everybody seems to get it and tech support saysrun the repairtool wich ofcourse doesn't help...

hmm this worked:
Right click on your WoW icon.
Select "Run As..."
Select "The following user:"
Select your normal login, if you dont have one that you normally login with, it may appear as something like "Owner" for example.
Type in a password if applicable.
Click Ok.
I tried it with a user that didn't exist a few times then I used the regular user (the one already selected) and then it worked...

Right, Bliz is blaming Trojans now in the same thread :lol: and they are referring to a very old posta bout Trojans. The one Late linked above...

Another "solution"
one solution that seem to work was delete the Patch.MPQ and run the Repair utility.
But others have found that the repair utility is out of order (not updated) yet.

I am trying this atm, the other "solution" didn't work for me.

Think the game version validation's more of an issue of the checksum of your client not matching with what the EU (login?) server expects.

Still running the Repair tool now though...

Yes, a reboot fixed the issue for me too.
No biggie either, since the servers are not up yet.

Update 10:30 CET: The maintenance has been extended. We currently expect the realms up around 13:00 CET.
