Kael is probably one of the few things that is 100% finely tuned at the moment.
Yes, it's a long fight - but it's also the best one in the game atm (at least from what i've seen :p). It's not too hard, it's certainly not too easy - and requires full focus of everyone in your raid. Plus, he throws shit around - which is always cool..
He's probably "tuned 100%" because of that zonebound legendary crap that drops during the encounter.
Well it also helps never having experienced the fight firsthand but from what I could tell from the sparse few videos is that it really takes far too long and all the looting is that required to make things work have a huge potential to screw stuff up.

I can see it now "yeah hold on I'm looking... damnit can't find it! I know it's in here somewhere...".
Oh come on. It is EXACTLY like the conclusion of that Southpark episode!

Aside from that it really looks nice though, with all the interior decorating and the typical badguy-esque standoff where you get to deal with his lieutenants first.

They finally understood why Tigole is a bad choice as a lead designer, mmmkay.
Hehehe love how he had to eat his words :P

" After a lot of thought and deliberation, we’ve decided to remove the attunement requirements to enter Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye. While many of our attunements in the Burning Crusade have been good progression checks, a few of the attunements have turned out to cause unnecessary stress on guilds either doing the content or attempting to do the content. With Black Temple and Battle for Mount Hyjal thriving, we want to encourage (rather than prevent) new guilds and raid groups to attempt Serpentshrine and TK. We are going to leave the current attunement quests in the game so that players can still engage in the challenge and the lore of those quests should they choose to. At a later point, we are considering adding a final reward step to those quests as well (that way those who have already completed them would not miss out on a *new* reward).

We’re listening to feedback from you guys constantly and your opinions are important to us. We want this game to be the best possible MMO experience for our players.

Enjoy Serpentshrine and Tempest Keep =)
" -Tigole

Makes sense though if people like Soulslayer actually cancelled their account with reason "reputation hell".
Doesn't make sense why you just can't log in on each day ready for a busy raid of 4 hrs and immediately log off.
Total unneccesary grind shit.

Now just to make 3 set items and 2 nonset items drop per boss kill in 25-mans and we're golden.
No attuning???? Did my spare time heard that right?

Nah, there's plenty of 'free time' between phases to sort that stuff. Though i must admit, looting the bow -finding it in your inv - clicking it - trying to find the arrows in your inv again and equipping them can be stressy :P
The various buffs those things give add an interesting thing to the encounter though. Seriously, it's all good (and fun) - despite the length :)

It's an improvement imo and thats always good no matter which way you look at it. wow is still by far nr1 on the market for good reason not just cause of the blizz fanboys like late!. Most super highend raids in eq lasted for way more then half an hour seriously if you think any other mmorpg has better endgame content atm compared to wow i think yer sourly wrong :P.

Can't you just use itemracks alt key for equipping that weapon stuff anyway btw in the fight? :P

I'm talking about default UI people Versus :)
Actually I think some mods like All-in-one-bag tend to make things even worse but hey.
Doubt it'll be that easy, especially for key people.

Anyway, Tigole having to eat his words were golden though.
More of that please.

"I partially agree and partially disagree. We have some ideas that will help people "catch up" who join the endgame later on. (Attunement scrolls -sneek) With that said, I'm not so sure endgame players would like the face of the game if everyone had instant access to all of the content. There is something to be said for progression and the sense of accomplishment. Don't get me wrong, we have to be careful not to create a brick wall for new people, but I think there is a balance to be struck here." -Tigole

As it stands now I'd recommend folks not to play this game.
But yeah I suppose it IS the best out there - mostly because of lack of competition.
Not sure if Warhammer nor Tabula Rasa have the clout to pull it off since they both lack, imo, the massive brand/background that touched many folks out there.

Warcraft was something everyone in my highschool was aware of.
Warhammer? Forget it.

Many have tried, 99% of them have failed. And it's not like stuff like Vanguard / LOTRO had a tiny budget.
WoW isn't a bad game, far from. But yeah, nothing's perfect :p
