The following link is are 7 minutes worth of game snippets from Bioshock.
Quite disturbing.
Sure the AI animations look a bit gimpy but so it was in System Shock 1 and 2.

OK, so even while Bethesda's removed the isometric tactical turn based stuff from the game entirely and replaced it with first person 3d, they DO seem to understand the setting and how things work.
And I so incredibly dig it that they've acquired the exact same narrator (or at least someone who sounds identical).

Damnit, I want it now, not next year.
