New Death Coil, some tests on the Test (!) server
I just tested Death Coil on the Test Server.
750 mana is the cost of the spell.
Death Coil, once cast upon a player, will deal 476 damage to your enemy, and return 476 to yourself. At the same time, the player will be feared for 3 seconds. The fear seems to send the target running backward into a straight line. Death Coil's fear is not affected by diminishing returns whatsoever. Though it is a 'fear' effect, it's not what you all have made it out to be. Hopefully the tests I have listed below will clear up any confusion about the spell.
-Against a Warrior, Berserker Rage did not break the Death Coil fear, due to the fact that it could not be cast while feared.
-Against the same Warrior with Berserker Rage, Death Coil feared through an already active Berserker Rage.
-Against an Undead Warlock, Death Coil was not broken by Will of the Forsaken, due to the fact that WotF could not be cast while feared.
-Against the same Undead Warlock, Death Coil feared through an already active Will of the Forsaken.
-Update: The fear breaking trinket (Insignia of the Horde/Alliance) does not counter Death Coil's fear effect, nor can it be used while feared.
-Update: Death Coil's fear effect works through a Hunter's Pet with Beastial Wrath.
In short, though the mana cost is high, Death Coil is apparently unstoppable and uncounterable by any Fear breaking/immunity effects.
If there is any possible counter to Death Coil's fear effect, or if you've had Death Coil's fear effect work through something that hasn't been mentioned yet, please report it here.

Yeah read it, this is amazing. I'm inclined to think though that some of it is a bug, so I wouldn't count on it getting past the test server. If it does, I really don't see any class beating me with it's timer up tbh.
Ofcourse, the real test would be: does it go through a shammie grounding totem...

Haha Fenz, good to see you're thinking of finally going back to Affliction. Seriously though, I would put at least one point in Impr Firebolt, Rulnar rules! And I think Impr Drain Soul is still bugged - and not very useful anyway since you have DP already. Same goes to a lesser extent for Impr Lifetap. I would suggest maxxing Suppression instead.
