Sneek you will just love this
cause the imbalance wasnt so glaringly obvious yet (it was there with bwl a little and aqt, but it's become far more clear since nax)
Sure it will take 'a little more time'. Per encounter. Thats a lot of 'little more times' stacked on top of eachother, ending in us being over 6 months behind in killing khel'tuzad. Fun fun!
imo you're just being defensive cause you insisted on horde, same as you did alb/bors, you ruiner!!!1 1 ;P

Paladin is man or woman with holy light, liek angel from god paladin hold up holy light so you see in dark and not be scared. You CANT play naughty paladin coz it not fit with paladin holy light ok?
omg stop derailing the thread zilver and fenz. you guys can argue about that in pms or something.
your "käbbel" is no where near as interesting as sneeks insight! =P

im not derailing anything gorlom, having a healthy discussion here. dont have to agree on everything. It's good to hear valid points from both sides.Gorlom wrote:omg stop derailing the thread zilver and fenz. you guys can argue about that in pms or something.

That being said, if you wanne farm posts or something, go do it in another thread.
Doubting here that it will be that dramatic, Sudo
The buffs Alliance have make it easier for an alliance raid to have it's better players compensate for the weaker players.
Although wether that's good is debatable in it's own right - Horde players will realize that.
For instance, having 30% Threat Reduction on your Priests all the time you can let a few priests that are totally focused spam much more heals to keep the raid alive then you can in a Horde raid (20%, perhaps priest moves out of TA range to do the emergency healing).
That's good in the sense that yes Alliance can keep a raid going in that regard, but it's bad in the sense that that Allied raid has a problem with some priests having to compensate for others.
Fundamental difference here in playstyle.
That's why you should enjoy our current state in Naxxramas for instance.
We manage -- without the blanketed easymode weaksauce buffers.
Alliance Buffs remove risk (casting interruption due to damage) or add buffers to mitigate risk (Kings, Salvation, Sanctuary) or allow a flawed execution to go on longer (Wisdom, Judgements of Light/Wisdom).
IMO it's kind of like claiming you can do BWL only when your entire raid is fully decked in epics.
This was once claimed in a recruitment post of a certain guild on the TH Realm Forums.
It will help a lot, sure, but it's very well possible with blues. And we've proven it.
Same with Ragnaros.
We've proven ourselves that it's damn well possible to kill Ragnaros without being pimped, at all, in consumables and without wearing the best possible gear we could acquire at the time.
Hell, other guilds have proven it; standing in front of Nefarian with blues and, god forbid, greens.
Alliance is easymode.
Riding a kiddy bike with sidewheels attached for instance.
Or as some Raids & Dungeons thread post mentioned: "girl pushups".

No, we will never be on par with lootftw, saw screenshots from their latest kill in naxx that was 2mins b4 server shut down.sudo wrote:it's just stupid how much easier it is for alliance to beat the exact same encounter.
I bet we'd be on par with lootftw for example on boss progress easy if we had all the toys they get (free 10% to all stats, free extra ap, free better agro reduction, free extra mana regen and all at the same time, no need to choose, and for the whole raid). Major design flaw, and blizzard dodging the issue isnt helping..
Most players in our guild would never dream of raiding until 3 on a weekday.
i will now give another aswer to why alliance have better pve guilds.
wow=time=no work=school=young players=alliance=pally
"go all out, i wont lose aggro"
True and that is why we will be around 6 years from now while they have faded.Gupim wrote:No, we will never be on par with lootftw, saw screenshots from their latest kill in naxx that was 2mins b4 server shut down.sudo wrote:it's just stupid how much easier it is for alliance to beat the exact same encounter.

I ain't leaving without your soul and I am sober this time.
Alliance does have it quite a bit easier in pve raiding with loladins 30% threat reduction for all +10% stats for all +mana regen etc is huge for the entire raid with just a few pallies who dont need to be in every group also. In pvp shamans prolly make up for it beeing way more offensive power based i really dont care much for pvp in mmorpgs though prefer still fps games for that instead of the ganking/gear difference mmorpg pvp.
The problem is slowly but surely there is defecting going on from horde to alliance because of this and horde numbers are falling on almost all servers. Its only a bit countered by players on horde side who never read forums and/or will never grasp the big difference.
Most likey they are also counting with giving alliance in expansion an fugly race and horde an mangina race that population will shift a way back to horde. Cant say that is such a good thing though giving horde an influx of elf mangina horny young boys! ( sorry ami!)
Im not happy too with the difference in pve challenge for both factions. To just say oh alliance is easymode the pve challenge really should be for both factions around the samelevel. Hell you can raid nekkid if you want for even more challenge it sure doesnt give me a "wow were hardcore compared to alliance feeling who cares about balance" though I think most people prefer in the end an even playing ground.

You're being a subversive element here Versus! ;P
I know you like reading the FoH forums for this info since they have rabid discussions about this and the entire point of view you have is more or less in line with the regulars there.
At least now we're seeing something unprecedented though, clamoring on a huge scale I've never seen before for equality.
Not only Horde but Alliance and not just "joe regular" complaining about frost shock but people who should be carrying weight when it comes to influencing Blizzard.

I've spoken with the developers and they let me know that they're not satisfied with the impact the windfury totem change is having on current end-game content balance, and plan to undo the change. Please remember that the testing phase of any patch is precisely to test such changes and evaluate their possible impact on the game, whether or not they eventually go into the final release build.
In short, no change to Windfury Totem is planned at this time.

In truth that is a stupid, stupid, stupid, silly, stupid (did I say stupid?) approach to take to game design when what you have is a game that has one of its very core elements being the fact that there are two opposing sides. And even if you only talk about a PvE realm here that doesn't make a difference because players will feel neglected, since it is in the human nature to take any conflict and make it into a competition. (Even if it is only a wholy abstract competitions between two sides that can't interact within the given framework and gets no reward for it.)Fenz wrote:My point is that Horde can beat the same encounters even tho it might take them a bit more time to master some encounters.

Spineless gits.
Great, they back off on their decision, Horde has a victory party and everything'll be forgotton.
This would've been a field day if they actually bit the bullet and kept it going since then every Horde guild would fall over the Blues aching to draw blood.
If anything this is the time to push the issue.
They backed off, which means that they acknowledge that there is a disparity.
And it sure as heck ain't just physical melee dps.
