Since patches without Warlock buffs do not exist anymore, I present you:
As of patch 1.9.4, DoTs are NOT eating up the "charges" on Improved Shadow Bolt. This means the next 4 Shadow Bolts/Mind Blasts/whatever will deal 20% extra damage after you crit.

I've investigated the buff a bit more. I put on Siphon/CoA/Corr and then I started bolting until I got a crit. The crit is the sixth line, above it the normal spelldamages are shown. The results are actually even better than I thought: not only do DoTs not consume the Improved SB charges, they do benefit from the effect itself . You can see that Corruption goes from 11 to 13 dmg and Siphon Life from 17 to 20, and that the effect lasts for more than five ticks (it lasts twelve seconds total).

I'm curious how this will affect raid damage. :)

Indeed. :)

This change has me thinking. Critgear might actually be pretty awesome now. The buff lasts twelve seconds, or until five hits with I guess Shadowbolt, Shadowburn or from some wannabe-priest. ;) But if you solo, you wont be able to use up those charges anyway within twelve seconds (unless you SBoltx3, DC and SBurn in 10.5s not counting lag). So this means a crit leads to a 20% damage increase on Shadow spells for twelve seconds. This is even bigger than DS/Succy! Maybe I'll respec SM/Ruin again for a while to check out if it really is that good. :)

I have a question for all of you warlocks in here. I cant get this together. You are warlocks, equals, embracers of the dark powers... Yet you've chosen to call it warlock "heaven" ?!?!

ps. im just in that kinda mood today, dont take it personal... ds.

Your First mistake Gorthzûk was to get me started and that you have so here it comes, blame your self sucka.

So to make the thing clear.
"Heaven" is just a word for people to describe an equal mind ("place"),
"Heaven" is a neutral source and will allways be something different depending on the viewers eye.

My "Heaven" might not be the same as your "Heaven".

Just because a Warlock embraces the dark dosent make him without an Heaven. His Heaven is determinated by his emotions and pleasures
, the things that makes him happy.

So a Warlocks Heaven might be a dark cold place where he is one with
The Shadow... etc etc.
Altho it might aswell be a bright and nice place...
all depends on his pleasures as stated before...

Gorthzûk skip the deepthought questions and stick with this frase... :P

"¿Mee iiill?..."
